By Hikerpro | July 30, 2010
A lot of people oftenexperience times when they just wish to punch a sand bag unless it spurts, or keep hitting a ball coming from a high speed pitching machine til the time the bat breaks. But, all the sand bags and pitching machines won’t help cooling down a raging fury inside, an emotion we know as rage. It is among the basic human emotions, yet the way all of usshow it is different. Some people turn extremely violent and some can manage to stay calm. A person can feelangry in various situations. Mostly it is when the person is is frustrated, hurt, rejected or aggravated due to hostile actions.
For an enraged person, it might seem justifiable to react violently or in an equally harshmanner, but the consequences are usually devastating. As they say, the person who can hurt you the most is no one but yourself. Actions taken under extreme rage can sometimes affect the whole life of that person.
Anger can also have negative impacts on human body along with mind and psychology. Expressingrage by being aggressive can cause the heart to beat much faster than normal and can result insuddenstress on the nervous system. those who staycalm in any condition, and forgive others for their behaviors are less prone to heart diseases and blood pressure problems.
For someonehaving anger management situations and no control over how he/she reacts when aggravated even slightly, help is certainlyrequired. Yet, the best kind of help in this case is self help. The best thing to do in an provoking situation is to just take a second and think of the consequences of whatever action you are about to take. There is hardly any chance that it was something wise. So, prior reacting, you should stop, think and rethink.
If you seriously feel the urge to take your rage out, find a lonely area where you can be alone and yell out loudly. You can even try breaking an empty jar or stomping on a few aluminum cans. Since, your body is more active and energizedwhen you are in an aggressive state, try to use that energy in somethingproductivein a way. For example, play tennis or badminton.
Cans and glasses can help in bursting it out, but still the best option is to try comforting yourself in a more peaceful manner. Taking deep breath is a good way to relax your mind and body. Try to get down somewhere comfortable and quite, and breathe in from your diaphragm. Hold your breath for moments and gradually breathe out.
Try to comprehend people’s actions and words from their perspective. Try to understand the facts that make up a certain opinion in other person’s mind. Different backgrounds, different upbringing, environment and personal experiences, can all play an important role in separating people from others. So, the difference of opinion is normal. If you think they are not right, avoid getting into confrontations unless you really it is about to be a constructive one.
