As long as you stick to a schedule you can make sure that you stop algae from forming in your pool. This means you will be able to enjoy it on a regular basis without having to worry about infections caused by germs in the water. It is easy to check how clean the water is by using a test kit. These are cheap to buy and will tell you how much swimming pool chemicals need to be added to your pool. However different conditions can cause swimming pool chemicals to react differently in the water so here are a few tips to help keep your pool sparklingly clean all summer long.
1. Keep An Eye On The Weather – Different types of weather conditions can have dramatic effects on the water in your pool. Large amounts of rain fall and winds will cause pool chemicals to react more quickly in the water. Sunny weather conditions will have similar effects as the heating up of the water will cause the chemicals to react more quickly. One of the best ways of dealing with this problem is to regularly give your pool shock treatments.
2. Don’t Just Rely On Chemicals – When it comes to cleaning your pool putting the right amount of swimming pool chemicals in the water is just one stage of the job. It is a good idea to use a brush to sweep any algae or dirt off of the swimming pool liner. It is also a good idea to get a vacumm that will clean the bottom of the swimming pool. Automatic robot vacuums are perfect for this as you can just leave them to clean the bottom of the pool when you aren’t using it. However you will still need to regularly skim any leaves or other debris that have fallen in the water.
3. Check The Filter – It is important to make sure you take care of your swimming pool filter. You want to check swimming pool filters on a regular basis as they can become clogged or damaged. If yours uses a paper filter then keep a supply of replacements so you can change them as neeeded. If you have a sand filter you need to regularly backwash it to keep it in good shape.
